Guy Bucchi, artisanal designer of furniture and sculptures

Guy Bucchi imagines and crafts unique pieces and small-batch creations, blending contemporary furniture and sculpture. In his workshop, iron and wood meet to give life to chairs, tables, decorative objects, and sculptures with singular lines.

From Sketch to Creation

Every creation begins with an idea. On a sheet of paper, Guy Bucchi freehand sketches the shapes and lines of his future objects.

From the initial drawing to the realization in his Provence workshop, each piece is handcrafted to preserve its unique character.

Iron and Wood

Guy Bucchi has been working with iron for many years. He appreciates its malleability, strength, and longevity, which make it a preferred material for creating the structures of his contemporary chairs, tables, and sculptures.

His work draws inspiration from his environment, but also from a more personal exploration of form, material, and balance.

For certain creations, metal meets wood, specifically an exceptional timber: Swamp Kauri, native to New Zealand and thousands of years old. Depending on the piece, Guy Bucchi also works with other New Zealand woods, such as Pine or Macrocarpa, chosen for their character and unique features.

Furniture and Sculptures

Chairs, tables, and sculptures take shape in Guy Bucchi’s workshop. Each creation is handcrafted as a unique piece or in small series, with particular attention paid to form, material, and detail.
